MBARI REIMAGINED
Beyond Memory and Myth
The project is a speculative worldbuilding exercise set in Southeastern Nigeria. Two hundred years in the future. A world called Ala-Igwe. In this realm, tradition and technology blend seamlessly to form futurist artifacts. Embodying the fusion of ancient wisdom and modern innovation. This project explores the possibility of embracing technology without losing our cultural roots. And seeks to reexamine the tech-culture relationship. And question the notion of a converging global narrative. Hopefully prompting discussions on technology's role in creating meaning and informing new ritualistic form of making.
